One-Line Bio

As much as I'd like to think otherwise, I really don't know what I'm talking about.

Born to a poor family in Tupelo, MO, I had early aspirations to be a musician. I was still very young when we moved to Memphis. I fell in love with poplular and gospel music. One day, I brought $4 to a local recording studio and recorded a couple songs - a present for my mama. The studio owner, Mr. Phillips, must have heard something special in my voice, for he paired me up with some really great musicians and we cut a song called "That's Alright, Mama."
A few years later....

Oh wait, that wasn't me. That was Elvis. Jeez-louise.

Well, if you want to know about me, read the blog!
